Classes Hub

ENTRENCHED on Roblox is a team-based World War I shooter where Entente and Central Powers clash across trenches, bunkers, and open ground. Your class choice is not cosmetic: it defines your weapons, health, speed, and the jobs your squad expects you to perform. This hub collects every class guide on the wiki so you can compare roles before you spawn, then jump into a dedicated page when you want loadout details, counters, and mode-specific advice.

The game ships with nine classes, each with a dedicated guide: Rifleman, Skirmisher, Medic, Support, Assault, Engineer, Recon, Flamer, and Officer. Start with All Classes Overview for a one-page roster, then open the deep guide for your main. Most classes are available from your first match; Officer unlocks at rank 5 and adds team-wide coordination tools. None of the classes is a permanent “meta pick” in healthy lobbies — ENTRENCHED is built so map layout, game mode, and squad composition matter more than chasing a single overpowered role.

Start here: compare every class

If you are new or returning after a break, read All Classes Overview first. That page walks through every role in one place: primary weapons, secondary tools, typical positioning, and who each class hard-counters or loses to. It also explains when to swap mid-match — for example moving from Rifleman to Engineer when your team needs a machine-gun nest on a Conquest flag.

These pages go deeper on the roles players search for most often:

  • Rifleman Guide — bolt-action backbone of most squads; strong at medium and long range with grenades and spade for trench work.
  • Medic Guide — semi-auto rifle plus healing; keeps pushes alive when teammates trade in no-man’s land.
  • Assault Guide — close-range automatic fire and frags for clearing bunkers and breaking stalemates.
  • Recon Guide — high-damage rifle for picking off targets across open maps and punishing careless Supports.
  • Officer Guide — rank-5 leadership class with binoculars and team buffs; best when you communicate.
  • Engineer Guide — builds HMG nests, sandbags, and tunnels; anchors defense in Frontline and Domination.
  • Skirmisher Guide — carbine flanks and smoke screens that open paths for Assault and Flamer.
  • Support Guide — LMG suppression and spade trenches for Conquest and Frontline holds.
  • Flamer Guide — short-range fire clears in bunkers; swap off on open clear-weather maps.

PC navigation shows the top class pages first and links to this hub via View all when the roster exceeds the dropdown limit — open every guide from here or All Classes Overview.

How classes interact with game modes

Class value shifts with the mode you queue. Frontline is turn-based attack and defense — Engineers and Supports shine on defense while Assault and Flamer lead breaching waves. Conquest rewards map control and rotation, so Medics and Riflemen keep bodies on flags during long fights. Domination concentrates fire on a single hill, making Officer callouts, Recon overwatch, and coordinated Assault pushes especially valuable. For mode-by-mode rankings, see Mode Tier Breakdown and the broader Class Tier List.

Swap when the situation changes. A team with five Riflemen and no Medic will bleed tickets; a Domination stack without Engineer fortifications loses the hill to repeated grenade spam. Treat class choice as a conversation with your squad, not a one-time character select screen.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for trench warfare and class play.

How many classes are in ENTRENCHED?

There are nine classes: Rifleman, Skirmisher, Medic, Support, Assault, Engineer, Recon, Flamer, and Officer. Officer unlocks at rank 5.

Which class is best for beginners?

Rifleman is the most forgiving starter: accurate bolt-action rifle, grenade, and spade. Read the Rifleman guide and the beginner tier list before branching out.

Can I change class between rounds?

Yes. ENTRENCHED lets you swap classes between matches and when respawning, so adapt to your team's needs and the active game mode.

Where do Skirmisher, Support, and Flamer guides live?

Each has a dedicated page under Classes: Skirmisher, Support, and Flamer. All Classes Overview still summarizes the full roster in one place.
